No matter one's background or circumstance, we meet people where they are by providing dedicated support to help them overcome barriers to attain an education, learn skills, obtain first-time employment, advance or change careeers, or successfully transition from military to civilian employment. We do this because meaningful work provides more than a paycheck. Work provides dignity, purpose, and the promise for a better life and a stronger community. Success Works

After losing his manual labor job, Jose was frustrated because he knew he had so much more to offer but was uncertain where to begin to find meaningful employment. He took a leap of faith and walked through the doors of the Walzem Workforce Solutions Alamo office. Jose received specialized employment assistance to help him identify career opportunities relevant to his strengths and interests and connected to a work-based learning experience opportunity with The Bexar County Health Collaborative. In less than three months, Jose’s experience led to a permanent position helping others as a project coordinator.
