Dial 2-1-1 or visit 211texas.org if you need help finding food, housing, utilities, child care, crisis counseling and much more. 2-1-1 Texas is a free, anonymous social service hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Child Care Health and Safety
You can check the child care providers’ record online.
Visit hhs.texas.gov/providers/child-care-regulation or call 210-337-3399.
Texas Health and Human Services Commission Child Care Regulation (CCR) has information related to health and safety requirements, including information on:
- The prevention and control of infectious diseases (including immunizations)
- Building and physical premises safety
- Minimum health and safety training appropriate to the provider setting
- The regulatory compliance history of child care providers

Services to Children with Disabilities
Does your child have a disability? Does your child have specific needs and require accommodations?
- Inclusion Assistance Flyer
- The purpose of the inclusion program is to create a positive child care environment for children with disabilities by providing technical support to CCS providers.
- The parent(s), child care staff, and the Boards Early Childhood Specialist work as a team to determine how to best meet the needs of the child with a disability.
- To be eligible for the inclusion program the child must meet the definition for a child with a disability.
