Colin Nichols presently serves as an Education & Workforce Development Manager for Toolkit Technologies. He retired from Alamo Colleges in Aug 2025, where he worked since June 2006, first serving as a Corporate Liaison and later as Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training. In his present position, at Toolkit Technologies, he is responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders in Education and Workforce Development in Central and South Texas.
Colin has more than 32 years’ experience in all phases of recruiting, sales, marketing, and workforce training. Colin Nichols has served as an instructor at Northwest Vista College and the University of the Incarnate Word. Colin was also a Master Instructor in the Air Force, certified facilitator in Professional Selling Skills (PSS), & Coaching with Achieve Global, certified to facilitate courses with Development Dimensions International (DDI), and Franklin Covey.
Colin was credited with managing the award winning Just in Time program in workforce training for Alamo Colleges and was the recipient of the LERN International Award for Excellence in Innovative Practices in Business & Industry. Colin also was the recipient of the National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award.
Colin Nichols holds a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University and two Master degrees from Webster University in Information Technology, and Human Resource Development & Leadership. Colin is a Desert Storm combat veteran serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.
