Pleasanton Collaborative Career & Job Fair

The City of Pleasanton, in partnership with Coastal Bend College and Workforce Solutions Alamo, will hold the 2021 Pleasanton Collaborative Career & Job Fair on October 20, 2021, at the Pleasanton Civic Center.  The city’s business and economic development consulting firm, EMC Strategy Group, LLC, is coordinating the fair.

This is the city’s third fair.  Previous fairs were held in 2018 and 2019.  The 2020 fair was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Area residents are encouraged to dress professionally (business casual is acceptable) and bring several copies of their updated resumes to present to potential employers.  Some employers will offer onsite interviews.

The Pleasanton Collaborative Career & Job Fair includes two sessions.

• High School Student Session (10am - 12pm) 11th & 12th graders
• General Public Session (12:30pm - 2:30pm)

“This career & job fair will connect job-seekers to local businesses with available job openings,” says Pleasanton Mayor Clinton Powell.  “I encourage all area and regional employers to seize this hiring opportunity,” adds Mayor Powell.

Coastal Bend College will highlight current trade skills training and certification programs to elevate job-seeker’s hiring potential.  “We are leaving no stone unturned to support an atmosphere that will help strengthen area and regional economic development,” says Ernie Gonzalez, Jr., President & CEO for EMC Strategy Group.  “Labor Workforce Development is a critical tool in the toolbox and Coastal Bend College is a valuable partner to help us achieve that goal,” adds Gonzalez.
