1. How do I learn more about the education and experience requirements for the positions at TMMTX? Detailed job descriptions are available for your review on the Workforce Solutions Alamo website. Since TMMTX is limiting applications to one position, we strongly recommend that you visit the website and read each job description carefully. The website address is: http://www.workforcesolutionsalamo.org/toyota/default.asp. 2. Can anyone apply for team member positions at the San Antonio facility? Production Team Member position Skilled Team Member position 3. I want to apply for a position at TMMTX but I feel uncomfortable providing my Social Security Number over the Internet. What can I do? While we can appreciate your concern over providing your social security number via the Internet, we assure you that our website is secure and that your information is protected as it travels across the Internet. Our website uses secure socket technology. This is the same level of protection that is used by financial institutions and other organizations that collect and process confidential personal information. In addition, all of your data, including your SSN, is housed on our secure server and in a secure database. The information will only be used in relation to the application process. Since this is an official employment application, it is necessary for us to collect your social security number as a means of identifying you with a unique number. 4. I tried to apply for a position and I received a message stating that I had already applied. Why did I receive this message? There are two reasons you may have received this message: 1) You have already applied for that particular position and the system recognized you as a previous applicant; or 2) You previously applied for a different position at TMMTX and the system recognized you as a prior applicant. Candidates may only apply for one position at the facility within a two-year time period. 5. I need to make changes to my personal information. How do I do that? If you need to make changes to your contact information or employment history, you may do so online by clicking here Please check back for mailing information. 6. I want to change an answer to one of the questions on the application. Can I do that? No. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas is highly committed to ensuring consistency and fairness in the hiring process. As such, TMMTX is unable to make changes to candidates’ answers once they have been submitted. All candidates' responses are evaluated against the same standards. If hiring needs change, all applications on file will be revisited and qualified candidates will be contacted to continue with the application process. 7. Can I send a resume to TMMTX along with my application? No. You do not need to send a resume to TMMTX. Throughout the application process, all information typically found on a resume, will be collected and reviewed. 8. I experienced technical problems while completing the application and received an error message. How do I know that my information was received? If you experience an error message while completing the application process, please send a letter to: P.O. Box 245997 Be sure to include your name, the position for which you applied, the last 4 digits of your SSN and explanation of what happened along with the of the error message text. We will check the system to ensure that your application is complete. 9. I just completed my application and was told that I will be contacted. When should I expect hear from TMMTX? As you can imagine, TMMTX has received a large volume of applications. While we cannot provide you with a timeframe, we can assure that every candidate will be contacted regarding his or her application status; you can also call 210-246-5421 to check the status of your application. Please be patient as we work to process all applicants. This process can take up to 10 or 12months. 10. I'm scheduled for the assessment test, what does it consist of so that I can study for it? There is no study guide for this assessment. Please remember that you will be filling out a job application during this testing, so bring your information related to your last 10 years of work history, education, and three to five work related references. 11. What is the dress code for the assessment test? Casual/ work clothing. The following is NOT acceptable: shorts, halter tops, tank tops, flip-flops, and sleepwear. 12. I submitted my application at the beginning of the application process and have not heard anything, did they receive my application? You can check the status of your application by calling 210-246-5421 13. I need to reschedule my assessment test, but am unable to do so, how can I do it? You can contact the number provided on the letter to reschedule yourself for testing. If you were called to be scheduled you can call the number provided to you by the administrative assistant. If you do not have any of these numbers, please send a letter to: P. O. Box 245997 Please be sure to include your name, position you applied for, the last 4 digits of your SSN and a brief summary. We will contact you. 14. Can I take half of the testing now and come back to finish the testing later? No, the testing must be completed during that session. 15. When do I get my test results? We are processing a high volume of candidates for many positions at Toyota. Although we do not have an exact timeframe, every candidate will be notified.
