Request for Quotations: Rapid Response Services
Workforce Solutions Alamo (WSA) is soliciting quotations from qualified entities to provide Rapid Response Services to Workforce Investment Act (WIA) dislocated workers involved in lay-offs or plant closures in the counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson.
The RFQ will be available for download beginning November 10, 2011 no earlier than 10:00 a.m. here: http://esbd.cpa.state.tx.us/bid_show.cfm?bidid=97670 , or by e-mail request to ddoria@wsalamo.org. Technical questions may be submitted via email prior to close of business on November 16, 2011 and an addendum will be issued on November 18, 2011. Responses to this RFQ are due no later than 3:00 p.m. on November 28, 2011.

Request For Proposal: Commercial Cleaning Services
Workforce Solutions Alamo (WSA) is accepting proposals from qualified entities to provide commercial cleaning services for specified career centers located in the workforce area. The intent of this RFP and resulting contract is to provide WSA with professional commercial cleaning services in order to maintain a clean sanitary environment for staff and clients. Cleaning services must be performed, at a minimum, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. The Contractor shall employ only competent and bonded personnel and shall provide a sufficient number of employees to perform the required services efficiently and in a manner satisfactory to WSA.
Alamo Workforce Development, Inc., d/b/a Workforce Solutions Alamo, serves as the designated administrative entity and grant recipient for federal and state workforce development funds for the Alamo Workforce Development Area (AWDA). The AWDA consists of the following counties Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson. Career Centers included in this procurement are located in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Pearsall, Pleasanton, Kenedy, Boerne, and Hondo Texas.

System
Workforce
Solutions Alamo continues to accept applications from training
entities for Initial or Subsequent Eligibility under the Workforce
Investment Act (WIA). Entities that are approved by Workforce
Solutions Alamo are referred to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)
for inclusion or retention in Texas’ Eligible Training Provider
System (ETPS) Statewide List.
Training provided in the Alamo Area, which includes
Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio,
Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina and
Wilson counties, must be in
demand occupations identified by Workforce Solutions Alamo as part
of the local plan.
Workforce Solutions Alamo has set the following minimum
performance requirements for applications received from July 1, 2011
